Hallmark Christmas in July has just ended, and so now it's really time to start talking about the new Christmas movies for 2018!

Hallmark had previously announced that there would be 34 new movies this year - and they have recently said that they are upping their game and increasing that to 36! That's right - 36!! There will be 24 on the regular Hallmark channel, and 12 on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries.

We also know that Lifetime will show 14 new movies this year - more than double last year.

And finally we are starting to see some information being released on some of these movies. On Hallmark, expect to see some very familiar faces - including Candace Cameron Bure, Lacey Chabert, and Erin Krakow. I really like seeing these familiar faces each year - it's almost like visiting with an old friend.
