If you’re anything like me, you know the joy of curling up with a cozy blanket, a nice mug of hot chocolate, and a brand-new Christmas movie. Whether it’s a heartwarming romance, a laugh-out-loud family comedy, or a snow-covered adventure, these stories always have a way of making the world feel just a little brighter.

Every year it seems the holiday season arrives earlier - and Christmas movies are no exception. The networks have learned that we don’t want to wait until December to get into the holiday spirit. So, they are already unwrapping the details about their 2025 Christmas movie lineups.

And this year, the magic kicks off earlier than ever, with some networks starting their holiday programming before October ends. Up TV will begin their holiday programming on Thursday October 30, Hallmark on Friday October 17, and not to be left behind, the newcomer to the party, Great American Family, will start on Friday October 10.

It’s never too early to start feeling festive, and this year’s lineup promises something for everyone.

It doesn’t matter how many years go by; Christmas movies continue to capture our hearts. They’re predictable in the best possible way. You know you’ll get romance, laughter, a little holiday magic, and almost always a happy ending. And in a world that often feels overwhelming, that kind of joyful distraction is priceless.

As a certified Christmas movie fanatic, I can tell you there is nothing quite like the thrill of seeing those first movie titles announced for each new year.
