Stores Closed on Thanksgiving 2025

Thanksgiving is all about slowing down, gathering with family and friends, and enjoying a hearty holiday feast together.

It's one of the few days when shopping takes a back seat to family, food, and football. And honestly, that’s something worth celebrating.

Each year, more retailers are choosing to close their doors so their employees can also enjoy the holiday. This means you’ll want to plan ahead.

Some of the larger grocery stores will still be open for those last?minute items, but most will have limited hours. Check your local store hours before you head out for that one item you forgot.

To help you out, here is a list of major retailers that have confirmed that they will be closed for Thanksgiving Day 2025.
